In Progress
The Philippines department of science and technology has been researching adding in ground dried vetiver roots to plastic to make a composite lumber. I have posted the research presentation here to show the results. in short this will work with other natural fibers like rice husk. The key is that it has to be very finely ground and dry. not more than 30 percent biomatter.

Research results. Pellets made from plastic and vetiver grass were made by a company in the Philippines. Then the compounded plastic was sent to Manly Plastic in the Philippines and injected into molds to make chairs, baskets and trays. Tests for termites, UV and weather resistance was carried out on finished products.
