More Information
1
Make or Buy Plastic Sheets
First step is to obtain recycled plastic sheets. If you have a sheetpress, you can make the sheets. If not, check the map to see where you can buy them. Check the files and make sure the size you buy matches the largest piece on the files. You will need at least two sheets of 1" thick material.
2
CNC cut your parts
Download the files above and use them to CNC the parts. You will need a CNC that can cut material that is at least 8x4 ft.

Finish cutting out the pieces manually
Most CNC operations will leave a small amount of material around the cut parts that you will need to remove to have the parts fully cut out (onion skin our tabs). Use a jigsaw or router to manually finish cutting out the parts.

Assembled the pieces
Use the drawings to assemble the bench. You will need threaded metal rods cut to length to be able to bolt the pieces together. You can glue each slat together for added strength. The faceplate to cover the bolts will need to be glued. The glue we used is CA glue with an activator, which is widely available.

Finish the bench!
Sand down the surfaces of the bench to remove the discrepancies in thickness amongst the slatted pieces. For a rough finish, sand to 120 or 80 grit. For the nicest finish, sand at each step up to 400 grit. This would create the smoothest surface.
