Make Hydraulic Plastic Shredder

Poly was created to address this sustainability issue while also making recycling more accessible and economically viable. Our system, based on Precious Plastics designs consists of two machines - a shredder that breaks down plastic into small pieces and an injection moulder that takes those pieces, melts them down, and shapes them into new products using interchangeable moulds. Shredding is the first step of recycling plastics. At Poly, we designed this machine to deliver force and be simple enough that anyone can use it. After 8 years of operation, we decided to retire our company and release our machine designs to the public, allowing anyone, anywhere to get started with small-scale plastic recycling for years to come. We wish that you use these designs, create more and help make this world better! Please use these designs and tag us at @enactusottawa on Instagram to share your success!
